The coast along the southern ocean is wild and windswept and there are many interesting coastal towns like Albany and Esperence to explore. Kalgoorlie lies on the western edge of the Nullaboor plain. This region has been the leading gold mining region in Australia for generations and this bounty still continues today.



Western Australia, is a superb place for a motorhome or campervan holiday. Many international tourists pick up a vehicle in Darwin and then enter Western Australia at Kunnanurra in the north. Most include Halls creek, The Bungle Bungle mountains, Darby, and Broome in the northern part of their itinerary and then head south along the coast where the visit Monkey Mia to see the dolphins and the coral coast to dive with the whale sharks or go on a fishing charter. From Geraldton south to Perth they follow the ocean beaches and then explore the south eastern regions including the magnificent Margaret river region with its sensational wineries.
